Looking for someone to help you with formatting your book? We can help. We happen to have world class formatters on our team who are specialized in interior layout. We’d love to help you get your book into professional condition.
Publishing a book that has the same look and feel as books published by the big traditional publishers can be a daunting task. Often, self-publishing authors don’t have the budget the big boys have, so it can be hard to compete.
That’s where we come in. We provide the highest-level quality book formatting services for the lowest price possible.
We mean it. Just compare our prices with companies that offer the same service.
And we are so confident that you’ll love the quality of our work that we offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee!
How do we work?
Ok, so when you have your manuscript finished and a book cover designed*, send them over to us and we will make the magic happen.
Book formatting services include, where applicable:
We’ll add page numbers, create nice and stylized headings, paragraphs, tables and everything else in your book using a professional theme at publishing house standards.
We can take the font used on the book cover and use that for chapter titles or use it to make drop caps to start each new chapter. **
We can re-create the cover in black and white as the first page inside your book. **
We can grab an image or symbol from the cover and use it for your chapter headings or as a section divider for example.**
We’ll add a professional copyright page, dedication, table of contents, index, and more.
If you have images or illustrations inside your book, we’ll place them in the right place in the e-book or PDF as well. Just send us the Word file of your book with the images in the right place so we can see where you would like them to be in the text. For best results, send us the originals of the used images as well.
* You only need to provide a finished book cover if you want us to incorporate the same fonts inside the book.
** Not every format allows all possible formatting options. Before we start work, we’ll discuss the possibilities, advantages and disadvantages, after which you can make a well-informed decision about which way to go for each of the different formats.
What You'll Get when we're done:
An ePub file formatted for use with KDP and other vendors, such as Apple, Google, Kobo or Barnes&Noble.
If you've also ordered our printed book formatting service: A professionally formatted PDF file ready to send to a printer or upload for a print-on-demand service like KDP or IngramSpark.
EBOOK & PRINT
*All prices exclude a 10% service fee
Base price includes up to 80.000 words and
10 images and/or footnotes. and two rounds of revisions
If your book has more than 80.000 words or more than 10 images and/or foornotes, please CONTACT us for a quote. In general we charge an additional
$3 per extra image and/or footnote. And an additional $10 per extra 10.000 words. But some books are so complicated to format that we can offer you a tailor-made quote.
Elements that might increase the price:
- Tables or graphs
- making changes to the content of your manuscript during or after formatting
After you get the first version back, please look it over carefully. If you see any issues please send us a detailed list of any required revisions including the locations of the changes (page number and line number). Please do not edit the formatted file or send us a new source file.
Any other revision rounds will cost an additional $50 per round.
Formatting your book can be a bit time consuming, especially when you and the formatter go over changes via email. Now we work pretty fast and can have your book formatted within 2 weeks (generally). But if you would like to have it even faster, some of our formatters offer to make the revisions on a Zoom call for an additional $29.99 per 30 minutes.
We work with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If there are any errors related to the formatting or you are just not happy with the result, we will fix it or refund your money. (If we give you a refund you cannot use the files). But we do ask that you review the initial design and send us all the edits in one document if possible. If you choose to have a second edition after your book is published and would like it to look a bit different we would like to help you out and give you a 10% discount.
It happens to the best of us; we think we are all done, we publish the book and still find some errors even after we have accepted the final version of the formatted book. No problem, we would love to help you out. Whether it’s a typo, word change, missing/incorrect punctuation, or other simple error, we’ll be here for you. The price for each round of the “minor revisions” is $15 which includes up to 10 changes. Each additional revision per submission is $2 each. Or, if the amount of revisions needed is more substantial, we offer them at an hourly rate of $35. The exact costs will be determined by your formatter. Please keep in mind that “minor revisions” do not include removing or replacing entire paragraphs and/or sections of the book. This because if we make these types of changes, everything in the book shifts and we need to re-format the book for you. While we are happy to make these changes for you, we would need to charge our normal formatting price stated above.
